  • $3 “Nobody’s Perfect Tier” – West-super-Mare pilgrim
  • Hi Nate, John, I have been a fan of Deep Purple, ever since in 1979 my older and very cool next door neighbour lent me his Made in Japan album. I was 13 and had mostly been listening to Top-50 radio. Made in Japan blew me away and is still my favourite Purple album. In 1981 and 82 I went to see Rainbow in Rotterdam and saw Ritchie in top form. After that, what little money I could get my hands on, went to albums of Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake and the likes. After their reunion in 84 I have seen Purple numerous times and they were always exciting. On my profile photo I am standing at the house where Ritchie was born in Weston-super-Mare. I’m not one to idolize people, but for Ritchie I made an exception. You can therefore refer to me as Weston-super-Mare pilgrim. I have listened to several episodes of your show and like the way you dig into an album and its background. Keep on going and thanks so far for the entertainment.
